When an fast-growing urban church began to look for a company to partner with in developing an outstanding web presence, BitSculptor's range of services appealed to them because of our mix of quality, custom site development coupled with powerful online site administration tools (OAF).
The new Riverside web site features our new "myChurch" application which combines custom homepages for site visitors with a secure, online member directory. Visitors to the site can sign up for a myRiverside account and gain immediate access to a personal homepage which they can customize themselves to display just the information they're interested in. Additionally, site users who want to be listed in the online directory can apply for permission to be listed. (Note: Church staffers must approve the application before the user can gain access to the directory, keeping the directory private and secure.)
With a growing weekly attendance of over 1,200, Riverside will be using the site primarily as a means of communication to current and potential attenders. Audio, video, text, and photo content is spread throughout the site and updated by a group of site administrators.

AmeriCorps is a network of national service programs that engage more than 50,000 Americans each year in intensive service to meet critical needs in education, public safety, health, and the environment.
The Lake County Americorps program has selected BitSculptor to develop an interactive web site which will contain mainy "members only" community features like an event calendar, photo albums, news postings, and mailing lists. These features will be available to those involved in the Americorp program in the Lake County area. Members will log in with a unique username/password to gain access to the site's community features.
For those interested in joining Americorps, the site will also contain a wealth of "public" information including membership applications, contact information, and details of the Americorp program.
The site is estimated to go live June 30, 2003.

Community Evangelical Free Church of Susanville, CA has a hoppin' youth group, and Pastor Steve Schlange saw an opportunity to remind kids of that by creating a downloadable, CEFC Youth-themed screensaver. The first screensaver (created in 2001) was good… but the latest screensaver, created to match the revamped site for 2003, is just plain great.
Click any of the screenshots to the right to enlarge.
As a spin-off from ET, Jurassic Park, and Monty Python, this screensaver is sure to entertain. What else can happen when you watch your youth pastor ride wheelies in front of a hungry T-Rex?
All of the photos and images in the screensaver are pulled from CEFC Youth group (most from the online photos archives).
